BET Awards 2021 : Burna Boy Makes History, Wins ‘Best International Act’ thrice In a row

Grammy award-winning artist, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has emerged winner of Best International Act at BET Awards for the year 2021, making him the first artist to win the award third time in a row.

Earlier it was reported that Burna Boy and Wizkid were up for the Best International Act Award alongside Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Young T & Bugsey (UK) and Youssoupha (France).

Burna Boy who won the Best International Act category at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards has also cliched the 2021 BET Awards.

This year’s BET award ceremony was air on Sunday, 27th of June 2021 at 8 p.m across BET, BET Her, Logo, MTV, MTV2, with Taraji P. Henson hosting the event live from the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles after the ceremony went virtual in 2020.

Burna Boy award received his award alongside his mother, Bose Ogulu. In his acceptance speech, Burna Boy thanked his mother for her support and BET for the award.
