Among these artists is Africa’s most celebrated artist Wizkid who for the final part of the festival dazzled fans performing most of his hits from when he commenced his music till recent times. He got the crowd singing word for word to every song he pulled out from his bag of hits. As part of his performance, Wizkid brought to stage Efya, Gyakie, Joey B, King Promise and Darko Vibes to make it an unforgettable performance.
During his performance, he preached one message, that every artist or everybody irrespective of where we are coming from represents Africa in our truest form. This message was really dear to him that he reiterated it at every instance when he had the chance.
“I got a message for you tonight. I’ll show you the same love I show my brother or my sister. And I want you guys to understand something, it is one Africa. We move together in numbers. And I want you guys to know it is one love, one Africa every day. Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya we are all the same people.”
This message comes after one of Ghana’s artists, Shatawale threw tantrums at artists from Nigeria with one claim being, most of them needed Ghana to become the greats they are.
In all, the programme was a success, meeting the expectations of Afrochella fans who came from different parts of the world to experience good music.
