Juls & Niniola Connect For the Afrobeat-Meets-Amapiano ‘Love Me’

British-Ghanaian artist, producer and DJ Juls connect with Nigerian singer Niniola for a head-nodding concoction in the form of “Love Me,” the second single from his upcoming album.

The track sees Juls blending horns and guitars inspired by Fela and Tony Allen’s afrobeat sound over an amapiano-leaning beat. It’s all brought together by Niniola’s soothing vocal delivery.

“This record is spiritual, so I’m very excited about it,” Juls mentions. “Niniola is one of my favourite African artists so it’s an honour to have her bless me. I threw in some elements of South African Amapiano in there too. It’s all about the global sound of Africa for me right now. It’s Africa to the world.”

The single, which dropped last week, is now accompanied by a brand new and dark music video. Directed by Ray Fiasco, the clip is inspired by slasher films and focuses on a story that goes through lust, rage and a murderous crime of passion, as a press statement reveals.
