MTN Pulse Nation Cypher contest in Uganda

Rappers in Uganda can now submit entries for this year’s MTN Pulse Nation Cypher contest.

The annual contest is organised by telco and mobile money transfer service provider MTN Uganda and The Tribe UG, an online hip hop and marketing platform.

“Hip hop is a genre that continues to take centre stage in Uganda among the youth,” MTN youth segment manager Hellen Kirungi said. “It allows them to express themselves and be who they want to be without limits. MTN Pulse seeks to create a community of like-minded people who want to live life without fear or limits.”

Note:

  • All contestants must be aged 12 years and above.
  • The competition is open to Ugandan citizens as well as official residents and those legally working in Uganda.
  • MTN staff members are not eligible to participate.
  • All participants with criminal records will be automatically disqualified.
