About Us

Afropulp Magazine was established in October 2010 with a mission to capture and celebrate the dynamic evolution of African popular culture globally. The magazine’s founders, influential figures in the creative, entertainment, tourism, and business sectors, recognized the rising wave of African pop culture in London during the mid-2000s and were inspired to create Afropulp.

With operations based in Accra and London, Afropulp primarily focuses on online content, while also producing two print issues each year. Central to Afropulp’s success are its Associates—writers, designers, filmmakers, photographers, and other creatives—who share a profound passion for the vibrant times in African history we are privileged to witness. This collective enthusiasm drives the magazine forward.

We are passionate about African popular culture.
