Ghana’s Rose Yeboah Sets NCAA High Jump Record, Paris 2024 Bound

Ghanaian athlete Rose Yeboah has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by setting a new national record in the women’s high jump with a leap of 1.97m.

Last night, Ghana’s Rose Yeboah booked her Paris Olympic qualification by winning the NCAA Women’s High Jump title. Her 1.97m jump came with quite a number of records:

This achievement took place at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where Yeboah also set multiple records including the NCAA, collegiate, and school records.

Ghana has only ever competed TWICE in High Jump at the Olympic Games.

First, in 1952 when were still the Gold Coast with James Owoo and in 1960 when Robert Kotei did in Rome.

Her performance marks the highest jump ever recorded in the history of American college sports. Yeboah is also a two-time gold medalist in the high jump at the African Games.
