Angela Bassett won the Golden Globe for best supporting actress for her regal role in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” which took place at Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The award-winning actress used her speech to pay a moving tribute to her late Black Panther co-star, Chadwick Boseman.

“We were surrounded each and every day by the light and the spirit of Chadwick Boseman,” she said. “With this historic Black Panther series, is part of his legacy that he helped to lead us to. We showed the world what black unity, leadership, and love look like beyond, behind, and in front of the camera.”

Eddie Murphy was presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award. In the television categories, “Abbott Elementary” was named the best comedy series, as two of its stars, Tyler James Williams and Quinta Brunson won acting prizes.
