Charles Sagoe Jr joins Swansea City on loan

Charles Sagoe Jr has joined Championship side Swansea City on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 19-year-old joined our academy in July 2015 from Fulham and went on to sign his first professional contract with us in July 2022.

Our forward has had a strong start to the 2023/2024 season, with 16 appearances in all competitions for our academy, scoring three and assisting 10 times.

Charles’ hard work and performances were rewarded with a first-team debut, when he started in our 1-0 Carabao Cup win against Brentford back in September 2023.

The versatile winger was also named as a substitute twice in a matter of days back in November 2023, in our Premier League win against Burnley and Champions League win against Sevilla.

Everyone at Arsenal wishes Charles all the best in his first loan spell and we look forward to seeing his continued development with Swansea City.

The loan is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
