Published on

Ghanaian singer, King Promise this week inked an ambassadorial deal with Ecobank Ghana. The financial institution confirmed the news on Monday and the arrangement means that the ‘Abena’ hitmaker, who was named alongside entertainment broadcaster Abeiku Santana, will now represent the company as a brand influencer across the country.

Ecobank Ghana has been in operation for the past three decades and belongs to pan-African banking conglomerate Ecobank, which has operations in 32 countries.

“I’m excited to join the smart new world of Ecobank,” King Promise wrote to his social media followers on Monday. “Follow @ecobankghanaplc for lots of exciting offers.”

The highlife, R&B and Afrobeats musician adds to a growing number of Ghanaian entertainers securing ambassadorial deals with financial institutions, including rappers Sarkodie and M.anifest who have inked partnerships with Standard Chartered Bank and Absa Bank Ghana, respectively. In August 2020, reggae-dancehall star Samini signed with FBN Bank Ghana.

Born Gregory Bortey Newman, King Promise is signed to Legacy Life Entertainment. He is behind popular local releases including ‘Tokyo’ featuring Wizkid, 2019’s As Promised LP and ‘CCTV’, the track that won him the African Artist of the Year Award at the 2018 Headies in Nigeria.
