Davido, Busiswa, CKay, Yemi Alade & More To Play YouTube Africa Day Concert

Davido, CKay, Yemi Alade, Busiswa, and more have been announced performers for this year’s Africa Day Concert, which will be broadcast live to a global audience on YouTube.

The concert seeks to bring Africans, the Diaspora, and people from across the world together to celebrate a continent that is home to more than 1.5 billion people and is spawning new ways of artistic expression. The annual concert is also a musical homage to Africa, showcasing the vibrant African music stars who are making headlines across the world.

Slated for May 25 in Lagos, Nigeria, the concert will feature performances from other industrious musical artistes across the continent representing Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, South Africa, and Congo. The event will be hosted by English Actor, Idris Elba on May 25 at 19:00 CAT / 18:00 WAT.

Other artistes set to perform are Nigerian singers D’banj, Reekado Banks, Mayorkun, Kamo Mpela, Tanzanian singer, Zuchu and Congolese singer-songwriter, Innoss’B. Also performing from the West African region is popular Sierra Leonean recording and performing artist, Drizilik.
