Kwame Sarfo makes cast of Netflix’s largest reality show yet, ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’

Old Bridge, New Jersey-based Kwame Sarfo, who is the founder of Obrempong Home, has been cast in Netflix’s biggest reality show yet, ‘ Squid Game: The Challenge‘!

Squid Game: The Challenge is a reality competition television series based on the South Korean drama Squid Game. The ten-episode series is a collaboration between independent television production companies Studio Lambert and the Garden, with Studio Lambert leading the physical production. The first five episodes of Squid Game: The Challenge were released internationally on November 22, 2023 on Netflix.

Four hundred and fifty-six players compete to win $4.56 million, the largest single cash prize in reality television and game show history, breaking a previous record of $2,600,000 won by Andrew Kravis by winning The Million Second Quiz. Through a series of games, each player is pushed to their limits and forced to ask themselves how far they will go to win.

Applications for the series opened in June 2022, with an announcement video released on YouTube. Netflix sought contestants from around the world but mandated that they be English-speaking. The streaming service put out a final casting call in September 2022.

With 456 real players, the series claims to have the largest cast in reality TV history.

Kwame, player number 297, planned on learning people’s strengths as a strategy and made it through the game he was most excited to play, Red Light, Green Light. Sadly, warships proved to be the end of the line for him.
