Morocco to play Ghana and Burkina Faso in June

Morocco will play two friendly matches in June against Ghana and Burkina Faso. The Moroccan Football Federation said on Wednesday 12 May that these matches will be held on 8 and 12 June at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.

“These two friendly matches are part of the Atlas Lions’ preparations for the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar,” the Moroccan body said.

Already qualified for the next AFCON 2021, scheduled to take place in Cameroon next year, Morocco is also aiming for another World Cup appearance after the 2018 tournament in Russia (eliminated in the first round).

Ghana and Burkina Faso will therefore be good tests before the start of the qualifications.
