‘Naira 4 Dollar Scheme’ by Central Bank Of Nigeria

The Central Bank of Nigeria recently launched the “Naira 4 Dollar Scheme”, an incentive-based initiative where beneficiaries of inward money transfers (US dollars only) get an additional N5 for each dollar sent to them from abroad.

Incredible right! Yes, you read right…what that means is that if someone sends you $5000, you get an additional N25, 000 credited to your naira account by CBN through your commercial bank.

However, in order to access this offer, remittances have to be processed and received only from any of the registered International Money Transfer Operators and funds received by transfer into your domiciliary account or in cash over the counter at any commercial bank.
